Upon arrival, she was received by the hospital’s executive management and was given an introductory briefing on its operations. She later toured the orthopaedic and plastic surgery ward, as well as the paediatric surgery ward, where she interacted with young patients.
During the visit, the First Lady also signed the guestbook, praising the hospital’s outstanding role in protecting children’s health and its continued contribution to paediatric care.
The Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children is the largest free paediatric hospital in Sri Lanka.
