Train services on the Upcountry railway line, which had been disrupted by a landslide, were restored at around 11:15 a.m. today (November 4), the Department of Railways announced.

Railway operations had been restricted to the Nanu Oya–Bandarawela section following a landslide near the 162/54 milepost between Bandarawela and Heel Oya earlier this morning.

Services have now returned to normal following the clearance of the obstruction.
