He stated that legal action has been instituted against 4,750 drivers arrested for drug-impaired driving over the past four months, noting that the figure marks a significant rise compared to previous years.
The DIG also said that continuous operations are being carried out to detect drug use among drivers, particularly those engaged in passenger transport.
These operations are being conducted with the support of mobile laboratory facilities provided by the National Transport Medical Institute, enabling authorities to carry out on-site testing and enforcement.
