The young athlete, a resident of the Dhurwa area in Ranchi, swam nearly 29 kilometers across the Palk Strait, completing the journey from Talaimannar to Dhanushkodi in an impressive time of 9 hours and 50 minutes. With this feat, he is now recognized as the youngest swimmer in the world to complete this demanding sea route.

The achievement, accomplished on April 30, is being hailed as a testament to Ishaank’s discipline, dedication, and perseverance at such a young age. The Universal Records Forum has awarded him an official certificate, recognizing him as both the youngest and fastest swimmer to cross the Palk Strait.

In preparation for this milestone, Ishaank reportedly trained rigorously for 4 to 5 hours daily at the Dhurwa Dam under the guidance of his coaches, Aman Kumar Jaiswal and Bajrang Kumar. His intense training regimen played a crucial role in building the endurance and skill required for such a demanding swim.

A third-grade student at DAV Shyamali School in Ranchi, Ishaank has also earned praise from his school community. The school principal expressed immense pride in his accomplishment, noting that facing rough sea conditions at such a young age demonstrates extraordinary courage. The principal further emphasized that Ishaank’s success is a powerful example of how dedication and proper guidance can help achieve even the most ambitious goals.
