During the meeting, the Prime Minister warmly welcomed the High Commissioner and expressed appreciation for the continued support extended by the Government of Pakistan, particularly in assisting Sri Lanka in the aftermath of the Ditwah Cyclone.

Both parties reaffirmed the longstanding and friendly relations between Sri Lanka and Pakistan, emphasizing their shared commitment to mutual respect, cooperation, and common interests.

Discussions also focused on enhancing collaboration in key sectors such as education, tourism, and sports. The leaders highlighted the importance of strengthening people-to-people connections and creating new avenues for bilateral cooperation.

Sri Lanka reiterated its commitment to further deepening engagement with Pakistan across multiple sectors.

The meeting was attended by Deputy High Commissioner Ms. Zunaira Latif, Secretary to the Prime Minister Mr. Pradeep Saputhanthri, Additional Secretary Ms. Sagarika Bogahawatta, and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism.
