The suspects were produced before court following their arrest after authorities uncovered a large stock of suspected kush and hashish at the airport. Police stated that the haul, valued at more than Rs. 1.1 billion, is among the largest drug detections recorded at the airport.
The arrests were made during a raid conducted by the Police Narcotics Bureau, which acted on intelligence information.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the origin of the narcotics, identify those who financed the operation, and establish whether additional individuals were involved in the alleged smuggling network.
