According to the Police Media Division, Gazette Notification No. 2482 dated March 27, 2026 has officially called for applications to recruit Police Constables, Woman Police Constables, and Police Drivers to the Police and the Special Task Force.
Applicants are required to submit their forms through the online application system, with the deadline set for May 8, 2026.
As specified in the Gazette, the age limit for Trainee Police Constable and Woman Police Constable positions is between 18 and 24 years. For the post of Trainee Police Constable Driver, the eligible age range is 18 to 28 years.
Police emphasized that reports on social media claiming that the age limit for all positions has been increased to 28 years are false. Authorities have identified those responsible for spreading the misinformation, and investigations are currently in progress.
The Police further urged the public to rely only on official Gazette notifications for accurate information and advised applicants to ensure they meet the required qualifications before applying and attending interviews.
