Former Member of Parliament Premalal Jayasekara, widely known as “Choka Malli,” has been arrested by the Nuwara Eliya Police following an alleged incident involving threats made during a dispute.
According to police reports, the former MP is accused of brandishing a firearm and issuing death threats during a heated altercation involving a group of individuals. Authorities further state that the firearm in question was being held illegally, as its license had reportedly expired.
