In a statement, CEB Deputy General Manager (Business and Operations Strategy) Noel Priyantha said the video clip depicts a group of individuals assaulting a person and had been shared by certain media with claims that those involved were employees of the CEB.
However, he stressed that the individuals seen in the footage are not employees of the electricity board.
