Heavy falls above 100 mm are likely at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at a several places in Northern, Eastern and Uva provinces. 

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces during the early hours of the morning.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the sea areas around the island.

Winds:

Winds will be North-easterly or variable in direction in the sea areas around the island. Wind speed will be (20-30) kmph.  

State of Sea:

The sea areas around the island will be moderate.

Temporarily strong gusty winds (60-70 kmph) and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.
