The incident occurred at around 11.30 p.m. yesterday (04) when two individuals who arrived on a motorcycle allegedly fired several shots at a window of the house before fleeing the scene.
No injuries were reported in the shooting.
Police suspect the incident may be linked to a dispute related to illegal drugs.
The Matugama Police have launched further investigations into the incident.
