The Sri Lanka Navy and the Sri Lanka Air Force launched a joint rescue operation after receiving a distress call from an Iranian vessel that ran aground off the coast of Galle.
The Navy Spokesman stated that a rescue mission was immediately initiated to evacuate the crew on board, as the incident occurred within Sri Lankan waters.
