Kanishka Senanayake, a former Colombo District parliamentary candidate and the son of former Colombo Mayor Rosy Senanayake, has passed away at the age of 41.
Mr.Senanayake contested the 2020 General Election from the Colombo District under the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB).
He entered politics at a young age and was associated with both the United National Party (UNP) and the SJB.
In addition to his political activities, Senanayake held several positions in the corporate sector and served as a director of several companies.
He was the eldest of three children of Rosy Senanayake and her late husband, Athula Senanayake.
