The Fort Magistrate’s Court today (October 2) issued notices to 10 doctors treating detained former Director of the State Intelligence Service (SIS) Major General (Retd.) Suresh Sallay, who is currently receiving treatment at the National Hospital.
Colombo Magistrate Pasan Amarasena directed the 10 doctors serving on the medical board treating Sallay to appear before the court on October 6.
The notices were issued after the court considered facts presented by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) through a motion, according to an Ada Derana report.
The doctors have been summoned to provide information to the court regarding Sallay’s ongoing medical treatment.
