The Government of Sri Lanka has put arrangements in place to provide emergency assistance, coordination and necessary support to Sri Lankan nationals who may require help amid the flash flood situation affecting parts of Nepal.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with the Sri Lankan Embassy in Kathmandu, is closely monitoring developments on the ground and has activated 24-hour dedicated communication channels for Sri Lankan nationals in Nepal.
Sri Lankans requiring emergency assistance, coordination or facilitation have been advised to contact the Sri Lankan Embassy in Kathmandu on +977 985 104 8653 or via email at [email protected].
For information and updates concerning Sri Lankan nationals in Nepal, the Ministry Headquarters has designated Mr. Thushara Rodrigo, Director General of Public Diplomacy and Spokesperson, as the focal point.

The Ministry said it will continue to coordinate with the Sri Lankan Embassy in Kathmandu and monitor the evolving flood situation to provide necessary assistance to Sri Lankan nationals affected by the emergency.
