Devotees are seen queuing at three main entrances leading to the temple. These include the route from D.S. Senanayake Street to the entrance of the Sri Dalada Maligawa, the Red Gate entrance via Sangharaja Mawatha, and the path through Maligawa Place via the Red Gate.

To accommodate the influx of pilgrims, special train and bus services are in operation today as well, providing additional convenience for those traveling to Kandy for this significant religious occasion.

Authorities have urged the public to remain patient and follow safety protocols while visiting the temple, as crowds are expected to grow throughout the day.

The annual exhibition is a key event in Sri Lanka’s Buddhist calendar, offering devotees a rare opportunity to view the sacred Tooth Relic and participate in blessings and religious observances.
