Large crowds gather for day two of “Siri Dalada Wandanawa"

The second day of the special exposition of the Sacred Tooth Relic, known as “Siri Dalada Wandanawa,” commenced this afternoon at the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy. Devotees from across the island have gathered in large numbers to pay homage to the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha.
The sacred exposition will be open to the public from 12 noon to 5:30 p.m., allowing thousands of worshippers the opportunity to participate in this revered religious event.
To accommodate the significant influx of visitors, temple authorities have introduced three new access routes to ease congestion and improve the movement of devotees:
Entry via D. S. Senanayake Veediya to the Temple’s main entrance
From Ratubokkuwa via Sangharaja Mawatha
Through the temple grounds from Ratubokkuwa to the main entrance
Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka Public Health Inspectors’ Association has assured that measures are in place to safeguard the health of the attendees. Nearly 50 public health inspectors have been deployed daily to monitor health and hygiene standards. Ongoing inspections and preparations by relevant health departments are being carried out to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants.
Officials continue to urge devotees to follow health guidelines and cooperate with authorities to maintain order and respect the sacred nature of the event.
