Sajith Premadasa Visits Malwatte and Asgiri Chapters

At the Malwatte Vihara, the Anunayake Thero extended an invitation to the Opposition Leader to pay homage to the Sacred Tooth Relic housed at the Sri Dalada Maligawa.

However, Mr. Premadasa graciously declined the offer, citing his desire not to inconvenience the hundreds of devotees who have been queuing for extended periods to offer their religious observances.

"Politicians should not receive special privileges that disrupt the spiritual journey of ordinary citizens," Mr. Premadasa stated. "Out of respect for the devotees who have patiently waited in line, I believe it is only right to follow the same path as every other pilgrim."

His gesture was met with appreciation from members of the public and religious leaders alike, who commended the Opposition Leader's humility and regard for the sentiments of the people.
