Sri Lankan relief team continues humanitarian operations in Myanmar

The joint operation, carried out in coordination with Myanmar's local authorities and international relief agencies, focuses on distributing essential supplies, restoring infrastructure, and providing medical care to displaced families.
The team's efforts have been widely appreciated by local residents and officials, highlighting the longstanding friendship and regional cooperation between the two nations.
According to a statement by the Sri Lankan Ministry of Defence, the relief team has so far assisted in rebuilding schools, repairing damaged roads, and setting up temporary shelters in heavily impacted areas. Mobile medical units led by Sri Lankan military doctors have also treated hundreds of patients in remote villages.
This mission reflects Sri Lanka’s commitment to regional solidarity and its growing role in humanitarian assistance across Asia. Officials noted that the tri-service team will continue operations in Myanmar as needed, reinforcing disaster response capabilities and delivering much-needed support to affected communities.
