Sri Lanka has experienced a significant boost in tourism as over 38,000 foreign tourists arrived in the first week of April, according to the latest figures from the Tourism Development Authority. By the day before yesterday, the total number of tourists who had visited the island nation reached 38,615.

The majority of these visitors hailed from India, followed by travelers from the United Kingdom, Russia, Australia, Germany, and Bangladesh, highlighting Sri Lanka's growing appeal as a popular travel destination.

This influx of visitors brings the total number of tourists to 760,897 for the year so far, marking a positive trend in the country's recovery and growth in the tourism sector.

With this steady flow of international tourists, Sri Lanka is expected to continue its upward trajectory in tourism for the rest of the year, further bolstering its economy and hospitality industry.
