Special Traffic Plans Announced for Modi's Visit

The Sri Lanka Police have announced special traffic plans in anticipation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's official visit to Sri Lanka, which begins today, April 4, 2025. These traffic arrangements will be in effect from today until Sunday, April 6, 2025.
Key details of the traffic arrangements are as follows:
April 4, 2025:
The Colombo – Katunayake Expressway and Baseline Road will be intermittently closed between 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.April 5, 2025:
Special traffic arrangements will be implemented around Galleface, Independence Square in Colombo, and Battaramulla’s Ape Gama areas.April 6, 2025:
Road closures are scheduled between 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM in Anuradhapura town, Railway Station Road, and Sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhiya areas.
Motorists and the public are advised to plan their routes accordingly to avoid delays during this period.
