Two japanese navy ships Bungo and Erajima arrive in colombo

The Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force (JMSDF) ships, BUNGO and ETAJIMA, arrived at the Port of Colombo today on a goodwill visit. The vessels were warmly welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy in a ceremony in accordance with naval traditions.

The 141-meter-long BUNGO, an Uraga-Class Minesweeper Tender, is commanded by Commander TANAKA Koji and manned by a crew of 125. Alongside, ETAJIMA, a 65-meter-long Minesweeper, commanded by Commander Oda Takayuki, has a crew of 54 personnel.
