In an effort to protect the wildlife of Yala National Park from the extreme heat, the Wildlife Department has announced that the park will be closed to tourists for two hours every day, from 12 noon to 2 pm.

The decision aims to minimize the suffering of the park’s animals during the ongoing hot weather conditions. With the midday sun reaching its peak, this temporary closure is expected to provide relief to the animals and help preserve their natural behaviors.

Tourists planning to visit during this time are advised to stay at the Patanangala Tourist Rest Area. The area will remain open, providing a comfortable environment for visitors while ensuring that the park’s wildlife is not disturbed.

The Wildlife Department emphasizes the importance of these measures in safeguarding the delicate ecosystem of Yala and encourages all tourists to cooperate during this period of adjustment.
