A public awareness march focused on road safety and accident prevention was successfully held in Colombo, organized by the Sri Lanka Medical Association.

 The event, which aimed to educate the public on the importance of road safety, was held under the patronage of Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa.

your imageAccident Among the dignitaries who joined the march were the Secretary to the Ministry of Health, Specialist Dr. Anil Jasinghe, the Secretary to the Ministry of Highways, 

Professor Kapila Perera, and the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo. The march also saw the participation of several former veteran players, members of the armed forces, and police officers.

your image The march began at Galle Face, a prominent location in the heart of Colombo, and proceeded towards Vihara Mahadevi Park, where it concluded. The event aimed to spread awareness about the significance of road safety and prevent accidents, an issue of growing concern across the nation.

Through this march, the organizers sought to highlight the collective responsibility of every road user in ensuring safety and reducing the alarming rate of road accidents in Sri Lanka.
