Elephant Pass salt factory to open today

 The factory, equipped with modern equipment and state-of-the-art facilities, is set to play a pivotal role in the local economy.

According to the Ministry, the factory's primary objective is to produce high-quality table salt for the domestic market. In a move to make the product accessible to all, the government plans to release salt under the new brand name, "King's Salt." This initiative aims to provide consumers with affordable, locally-produced table salt while also reducing reliance on imports.

"With the launch of the Elephant Pass Salt Factory, we are not only improving the country's self-sufficiency in salt production but also offering a product that is both high in quality and low in price," stated a Ministry spokesperson.

The release of King's Salt to the market is expected to boost the local economy, create employment opportunities, and further strengthen the country's position in the salt production sector.
