The Embassy and Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka in Bangkok is closely monitoring the aftermath of a 7.4 magnitude earthquake that struck Myanmar, causing tremors across parts of Thailand, including Bangkok.

The Embassy and Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka in Bangkok is closely monitoring the aftermath of a 7.4 magnitude earthquake that struck Myanmar, causing tremors across parts of Thailand, including Bangkok. 

According to a special notice issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, no adverse incidents involving Sri Lankan citizens have been reported so far.

Thai authorities are currently assessing the situation, and the Sri Lankan embassy is working in coordination with local agencies to ensure the safety of nationals in the region.

Sri Lankan nationals in Thailand are urged to remain vigilant and to contact the emergency hotline at +66 812498011 for assistance in case of any emergency. The Embassy continues to prioritize the welfare of its citizens and is providing updates as more information becomes available.
