Dr. Bandura Dileepa Vitharana has tendered his resignation as Chairman of the National Transport Commission (NTC) today. According to reports, Dr. Vitharana has submitted his resignation letter to the Ministry of Transport.

 Dr. Vitharana, who was appointed as Chairman of the NTC, previously served as the head of the Transport Committee for the National People’s Power (NPP). In addition to his role in the NTC, he is also a lecturer at the Open University of Sri Lanka, based in Nawala.

The reasons for his resignation have not yet been officially disclosed, and it remains to be seen who will succeed Dr. Vitharana in leading the NTC. Further updates will be provided as the situation unfolds.
