The Election Commission of Sri Lanka has officially announced the dates for marking postal votes in the upcoming 2025 Local Government (LG) Elections. Postal voting will be held from April 22 to April 24 at all District Secretariats and election offices across the country.

For voters who are unable to mark their postal votes during these dates, the Election Commission has provided an additional opportunity to do so on April 28 and 29.

This initiative ensures that eligible voters, including those who may be unavailable or unable to vote on the original dates, have the chance to participate in the democratic process.

The Election Commission urges all eligible voters to adhere to the scheduled dates and locations to ensure their votes are counted in the upcoming Local Government Elections.
