The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Lands, and Irrigation has announced that a nationwide animal census will be conducted today, 15th March 2025. The census will take place between 8:00 and 8:05 AM, aimed at identifying the number of various animals, including wild boars, deer, elephants, and monkeys, present across households, agricultural lands, institutions, schools, and both government and non-government entities. Notably, the census will exclude forested areas.

As part of the process, individuals are required to record the identified animals on the provided census forms. Once completed, the forms must be submitted to the appropriate authorities, such as the village officer, economic development officer, prosperity development officer, or agricultural research and production assistant in each area.

Furthermore, the Ministry has already distributed the necessary documents for the upcoming livestock census, which will also be part of the broader data collection efforts nationwide.
