The Court of Appeal has announced that it will deliver its ruling on March 17 regarding the writ petition filed by Deshabandu Tennakoon, seeking an order to prevent his arrest. The petition, which was reviewed by the court today, challenges an arrest order issued against the former Inspector General of Police (IGP) by the Matara Magistrate's Court
.Earlier this week, Deshabandu Tennakoon, through his legal team, sought an interim order to suspend the arrest, arguing that the order was unjustified. The decision to grant or deny this request will be made following the court's deliberations on March 17.
