The Ministry of Agriculture has announced the establishment of an operations room at its premises to support the upcoming census of wild animals that damage crops.
The operations room will be operational from today, March 11th, until March 15th, to address any issues or inquiries that may arise during the census process. Concerned individuals can reach the operations room by calling 011-2034336.
In preparation for the islandwide census, which will be conducted on March 15th from 8:00 a.m. to 8:05 a.m., the Ministry has started distributing leaflets. These leaflets are designed to assist farmers and the public in identifying and recording the number of wild animals causing damage to crops.
The Ministry also assures that if anyone has not yet received the leaflet, there is no cause for concern. People are encouraged to observe and make a note of any wild animals causing damage during the scheduled period.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Lands, and Irrigation is committed to ensuring that the census process runs smoothly and effectively to assess the impact of wild animals on agriculture across the nation.
