Sri Lanka Records 70,449 Tourist Arrivals in First 9 Days of March

Sri Lanka’s tourism industry is witnessing a remarkable surge in 2025, with 70,449 tourist arrivals recorded in just the first nine days of March. This follows a strong performance earlier in the year, with January welcoming 252,761 visitors and February seeing 240,217 arrivals.
The steady increase in tourist numbers reflects the island's growing allure as a top travel destination, fueled by targeted promotional campaigns and a heightened global interest in Sri Lanka’s diverse offerings. With its beautiful landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and thriving hospitality sector, the country is positioning itself as a key player in the global tourism market.
Tourism authorities are optimistic about sustaining this growth throughout the year, as Sri Lanka continues to attract travelers seeking unique experiences in Asia.
