Colombo Stock Exchange Sees ASPI Drop Below 16,000 Mark

The All Share Price Index (ASPI) of the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) has dropped below the 16,000-point threshold today, marking its first dip below this level since January 15, 2025. At the close of trading, the ASPI stood at 15,870.25, reflecting a decline of 297.05 points, or 1.84%.

In parallel, the S&P SL20 index also saw a decrease, shedding 78.22 points, or 1.62%, to close at 4,748.99 points.

The day’s trading saw a turnover of approximately Rs. 2.4 billion, according to figures provided by the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE).

Investors are closely monitoring the market as it continues to experience fluctuations amid ongoing economic uncertainties.
