Fair weather is expected to prevail over most sea areas around the island for the next 24 hours. However, some areas will experience increased wind speeds, especially in the sea areas stretching from Galle to Hambantota via Matara.

Mainly fair weather will dominate the sea areas around the island.
Winds:
Winds will be from the north-easterly to easterly direction, with speeds ranging between 25 to 35 km/h. However, wind speeds will occasionally increase to 40-45 km/h, particularly in the sea areas extending from Galle to Hambantota via Matara.
State of the Sea:
The sea will be fairly rough at times off the coast from Galle to Hambantota via Matara. For other sea areas around the island, conditions will remain moderate.
