No Fuel Shortage in the Country - Chairman Petroleum Corporation

Despite today (March 2nd) being a public holiday, fuel distribution activities continued as usual, with reports from various gas stations stating that customers were able to obtain fuel without any delays or issues.
The Corporation addressed concerns raised by a small group of fuel distributors who had initially announced that they would not fulfill fuel orders. However, the Corporation took immediate action to ensure a steady fuel supply. Rajakaruna further clarified that the same group of distributors who had made the announcement had, in fact, placed orders for fuel, dispelling any fears of a fuel crisis.
Additionally, the Chairman invited fuel distributors to a meeting on March 4th at 9 am for further discussions, should any issues arise.
The Petroleum Distributors Association has also confirmed that fuel deliveries are operating without disruptions. Even though today is a holiday, arrangements had been made to accept and issue fuel orders, with fuel bowsers seen departing from the Kolonnawa oil storage terminal.
In response to reports that some trade unions had planned to close fuel stations by 8 pm today, fuel station employees stated that the stations would remain open as usual until their regular operating hours.
The Petroleum Corporation and distributors are working to ensure that fuel supply remains uninterrupted, and the public is encouraged to continue fueling without concern.
