Sri Lankan cinema, theater, and television mourn the loss of one of its finest talents, Susantha Chandramali, who passed away at the age of 61 following a prolonged illness.

A beloved figure in the entertainment industry, Chandramali was renowned for her powerful and compelling performances, especially in dramatic roles that left a lasting impact on audiences.

Chandramali's career took off with a supporting role in the 2000 blockbuster Saroja, directed by Somaratne Dissanayake. She quickly became a celebrated actress, known for her versatility and depth in portraying a wide range of characters. 

Her roles in popular films such as Charulatha, Sujatha, Kande Gedara, Jaya Pita Jaya, Ran Kevita, and Nidahase Piya DS showcased her immense talent and contributed significantly to the Sri Lankan entertainment landscape.
