Veteran television and one-act drama director, Santhusa Liyanage, has sadly passed away at the age of 57. Known for his remarkable contributions to Sri Lankan television, Liyanage's career spanned over three decades, earning him numerous local and international accolades.

Liyanage began his journey with the Sri Lanka Television Corporation (SLTC) in 1990, joining the Drama Unit where he would go on to make a lasting impact. Over the years, he directed several popular teledramas, including KahalanadayaBhavathirtha, and Dooli Chitthura, which showcased his unique creativity and vision.

Throughout his illustrious career, Liyanage received multiple awards in recognition of his work, both locally and internationally, solidifying his reputation as a creative force in Sri Lankan television. He retired after 34 years of service, leaving behind a rich legacy in the industry.

Despite battling illness for some time, his passing has left the entertainment community in mourning.

The funeral for Santhusa Liyanage will be held the day after tomorrow at the Talahena Public Cemetery in Malabe. His contribution to Sri Lankan drama will be remembered by all who admired his work.
