Train Services Temporarily Suspended on Kelani Valley Line

The Railway Department has announced that several train services on the Kelani Valley Line will be temporarily suspended today, February 22, and tomorrow, February 23. This decision comes in light of ongoing renovation work being carried out in the Pangirivatta area.
The following train services will be affected:
- No. 9254 | 08:30 AM Colombo Fort – Avissawella (Slow)
- No. 9260 | 01:55 PM Colombo Fort – Padukka (Slow)
- No. 9261 | 04:00 PM Colombo Fort – Avissawella (Semi-express)
- No. 9657 | 12:25 PM Avissawella – Colombo Fort (Slow)
- No. 9661 | 03:45 PM Padukka – Colombo Fort (Semi-express)
Despite these suspensions, the Railway Department assures passengers that train services will continue to operate during the night, with no interruptions to evening schedules. Travelers are advised to plan accordingly and check for any further updates.
