Girlfriend of Ganemulla Sanjeewa's killer arrested

Maharagama Police have arrested a 23-year-old woman, identified as Kapugedara Gimhani Tharushika Devmini, in connection with the recent murder of Ganemulla Sanjeewa. Devmini, a resident of Polwatta, Maharagama, is said to be the girlfriend of the shooter involved in the killing.
The arrest took place at a massage parlor located on Road 174 in Pannipitiya. Authorities have revealed that the shooter, after executing the murder, was planning to flee the country with Devmini. In a separate development, police also arrested a man who was supposed to transport her to Negombo, where they intended to leave the country.
The man, identified as Ekanayake Kalupahana Michelle Tharaka Akman, a resident of Dambahena in Maharagama, is believed to be the shooter's manager. Both Devmini and Akman have been handed over to the Colombo Crimes Division for further investigations.
Authorities continue to investigate the case, and more details are expected as the investigation progresses.
