Misty conditions are expected in the morning hours at some locations in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva, North-western, Northern, and North-central provinces, causing reduced visibility.

The general public is kindly requested to take necessary precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers. Drivers are advised to be cautious when driving in misty conditions and when encountering adverse weather conditions.

Condition of Rain: Mainly fair weather is expected to prevail over the sea areas around the island during the next 24 hours.

Winds: Winds will be coming from the north-east at speeds ranging from 20 to 30 km/h. Wind speeds may increase up to 40 km/h at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Colombo to Mannar via Puttalam.

State of the Sea: The sea areas off the coasts extending from Colombo to Mannar via Puttalam may experience fairly rough conditions at times. Meanwhile, other sea areas around the island will remain slight.

Sea-goers are advised to exercise caution, particularly in areas where wind speeds may pick up.
