
Maldivian Foreign Minister Dr. Abdulla Khaleel Arrives in Sri Lanka

During the course of his visit, Minister Khaleel is set to hold official talks with the Sri Lankan Foreign Minister on 19th February 2025. The discussions will focus on strengthening bilateral relations and exploring new avenues of cooperation between the two nations.
In addition to his meetings with the Foreign Minister, Minister Khaleel will pay courtesy calls on President of Sri Lanka, Honourable Anura Kumara Disanayake, and Prime Minister, Honourable Dr. Harini Amarasuriya. These meetings aim to further enhance the diplomatic ties and mutual collaboration between Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
The Minister is also scheduled to meet with the Maldivian community in Sri Lanka and engage with key government officials. A special interactive dialogue with representatives from the Sri Lankan business community will also be held, exploring economic and trade partnerships between the two nations.
Accompanying Minister Khaleel on his visit are Foreign Secretary Fathimath Inaya and Additional Secretary Aminath Abdulla Didi.
The visit highlights the ongoing commitment of both countries to deepen their bilateral relations and foster stronger ties in various sectors, including tourism, trade, and diplomatic collaboration.
