The Sri Lanka Meteorology Department has issued a warning regarding the rising heat conditions expected to hit various regions tomorrow, February 19. According to the department, the heat felt by the human body is anticipated to reach the "Caution Level" in several areas across the island.

Affected regions include the Northern, North-Central, North-Western, Western, and Southern Provinces, as well as the Moneragala and Ratnapura districts. Residents in these areas are advised to take precautions against the intense heat, which may result in increased risk of heat-related illnesses.

The public is urged to stay hydrated, avoid direct sunlight during peak heat hours, and take necessary steps to protect themselves from potential heat exhaustion. Authorities recommend wearing light clothing, using sun protection, and limiting outdoor activities during the hottest parts of the day.

The Meteorology Department continues to monitor the situation and will issue further updates if necessary.
