Sumanthiran appointed as acting general secretary of ITAK

Former Member of Parliament M. A. Sumanthiran has been appointed as the Acting General Secretary of the Ilangai Tamil Arasu Party.

The appointment was made in accordance with the decision of the party's Central Committee meeting held yesterday (16).

Previously, the position was held by former Northern Province Minister P. A. Sathyalingam.

The Ilankai Tamil Arasu Katchi Party states that the Central Committee appointed M. A. Sumandhiran as the new Acting General Secretary yesterday (16) as he is currently in ill health.
