Police to Offer One Million Rupee Reward for Information

According to a statement from the Police Media Division, the reward will be issued from the Police Reward Fund, following a decision by Acting Inspector General of Police, Priyantha Weerasuriya.

The shooting occurred on the night of December 24, 2024, at Wasala Apartments in Maraluwawa, within the Wellawa Police Division, where a person was fatally shot with a T56 firearm.

The Wellawa Police and the Kurunegala Divisional Criminal Investigation Bureau are currently leading the investigation into the crime, working diligently to track down the suspects responsible.
