A key meeting between Minister of Health and Mass Media, Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, and the Korean Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Ms. Myeon Lee, was held at the Ministry of Health and Mass Media to discuss potential future collaborations in Sri Lanka's health and media sectors.
The Minister acknowledged the significant contributions made by Korean international organizations in enhancing Sri Lanka’s healthcare infrastructure and emphasized the ease and efficiency of working with the Korean government.
He expressed optimism for continued collaboration, particularly in the form of technical assistance, to further develop both the media and health sectors in Sri Lanka.
Ambassador Myeon Lee highlighted various projects and programs that are in the pipeline for the health sector, including a notable initiative to improve the country’s biomedical engineering services through Korea’s contributions. She also mentioned that KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency) would provide valuable assistance to several other sectors within Sri Lanka to aid in their development.
Both parties expressed strong interest in deepening their cooperation, with the Minister reaffirming Sri Lanka’s commitment to a fruitful partnership with South Korea for the benefit of the nation's growth and progress in critical sectors.
