Fair weather is expected to prevail over most parts of the island today. However, a cold weather is anticipated in the Northern, North-central, Eastern, North-western, and Central provinces during the early morning hours.
Misty conditions are also expected in certain areas, including the North-central, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-western, and Uva provinces, particularly during the morning.
Residents are advised to take precautions against the cold in the affected regions and be cautious when traveling in areas prone to misty conditions.

Winds:
Winds will be north-easterly and speed will be (20-30) kmph. Wind speed can increase up to
40 kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Colombo to Mannar via Puttalam and from Galle to Pottuvil via Hambantota.
State of Sea:
The sea areas off the coasts extending from Colombo to Mannar via Puttalam and from Galle to Pottuvil via Hambantota will be fairly rough at times.
