Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa has announced that Sri Lanka's education sector is poised for significant transformation over the next five years. The Minister made this statement during the opening of the Sri Pali Mela Educational Innovation Trade Fair and Carnival, which marked the 90th anniversary of Sri Pali College in Horana.

 In his address, Dr. Jayatissa highlighted the government's commitment to reforming the country's education system to meet future challenges and improve educational standards nationwide. 

He emphasized the need for innovation in teaching methods, curriculum development, and infrastructure upgrades to better prepare students for a rapidly changing global landscape.

The event was also graced by notable attendees, including Members of Parliament Dr. Nihal Abeysinghe and Oshani Umanga, as well as former Minister Professor G.L. Peiris. 

The Sri Pali Mela, held to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the historic institution, featured various educational exhibits, cultural displays, and a carnival, bringing together educators, students, and the local community.

Dr. Jayatissa's remarks underscored the pivotal role of education in shaping the nation's future, with a focus on harnessing technology and innovative practices to elevate Sri Lanka's academic and vocational offerings. The Ministry of Education plans to introduce a series of reforms in the coming years, ensuring that students are equipped with the skills necessary for success in a modern, competitive world.
