Live bullet was found in the arrivals terminal at BIA

A bullet, resembling a live 9mm round, was discovered near the baggage claim area of the arrivals terminal at Katunayake Airport early this morning. The discovery, made around 3:15 AM on February 10, was made by a SriLankan ground support employee.
Upon finding the bullet, the worker immediately reported the matter to the Airport Police, who arrived promptly to secure the scene. The bullet was then handed over to the authorities for further investigation.
In the aftermath, the SriLankan ground support worker provided a statement to the police regarding the find. The Katunayake Airport Police have since forwarded the bullet to forensic analysts for a detailed examination.
