Turkish Ambassador Meets Hon. Speaker and Hon. Deputy Speaker

The Ambassador of the Republic of Turkiye to Sri Lanka, H.E. Semih Lutfu Turgut, met with the Hon. Speaker of the Parliament of Sri Lanka, Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne, at the Parliamentary premises recently (30). The Secretary General of Parliament, Mrs. Kushani Rohanadeera, was also present at the meeting.

During the discussions, the Hon. Speaker and the Ambassador exchanged views on key aspects of the longstanding bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and Turkey.

As part of his visit to Parliament, H.E. Semih Lütfü Turgut also met with the Hon. Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Dr. Rizvie Salih. During their discussion, the Ambassador reiterated Turkey’s commitment to continued collaboration and support for Sri Lanka, highlighting the importance of deepening mutual understanding and partnership in areas of common interest.
