Ishadi Amanda, representing Sri Lanka at the prestigious 40th Miss World Married Beauty Pageant, has earned a remarkable achievement by securing second place. The event, held on January 30th in Las Vegas, USA, saw married beauty queens from 40 countries around the world compete, and Ishadi was crowned the 90th champion of the competition.

The beauty queen arrived back in Sri Lanka today to a warm welcome at Katunayake Airport, where she landed at 1:55 AM on Qatar Airways flight QR-658 from Doha. Despite her family being unable to attend the event in person—her parents, husband, and daughter residing in France—an enthusiastic crowd gathered to celebrate her success.

Later in the morning, at 9:00 AM, Ishadi Amanda was honored at a special reception ceremony organized by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau at the “Silk Route” terminal.

Among the distinguished attendees were National Director Chandimal Jayasinghe, Sri Lanka’s team coach Rukmal Senanayake, Director of the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau Subhashini Perera, Assistant Director Sureshani Pilapitiya, and many other dignitaries, as well as industry professionals who shared in her proud moment.

Ishadi’s victory at the Miss World Married Beauty Pageant marks a proud moment for Sri Lanka, highlighting the nation’s talent and global presence in beauty and empowerment competitions.
